Early this morning, May 12, 2016, the Internet connection to all of the Phoenix Hosting network was down. There was an issue with the fiber connection into the data center, possibly a cut fiber line. Cogent, our network provider, was already working on it when we called them and managed to get the connection repaired and service restored about 8:45 AM.

Many thanks to the Cogent team for being on top of it and working diligently to get the problem fixed.

Because of this outage occurring at a level above our services, leaving us no way to let you know we are still here and still in business, we are working on the details of a fail over method of notifying our customers should something like this happen in the future. The final solution may involve several methods: text messages to your mobile phone, a temporary site on a secondary connection for updates and estimated times of restoration and notices on our Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ pages. Though we hope to never have to utilize these methods, it makes prudent business sense for us to put them in place. Details will be posted here as we implement them.
