UPDATE 5/13/26

We are still running into issues on the new server not allowing mail clients (thunderbird, mac mail, outlook and others) to connect to download email. Please continue to use webmail until we can get it resolved.

E.g. webmail.amug.org

--OR--

e.g. webmail.yourdomain.extension

Log in with your email address and your email password.

UPDATE 5/12/26 6:45AM, MST

We have a team of 4 software engineers working to get everything back up and running. The priority today, as yesterday, is AMUG.ORG email. There should be no changes necessary on your email programs. Once we get it working your mail should show up as normal on your devices. We apologize for the delay. Again, webmail.amug.org with your email address and email password. You should be able to access your mail.

UPDATE 2, 5/11/26 6:30PM MST

AMUG email users

If you have an  AMUG address with us you should be able to access your email at the moment via webmail: https://webmail.amug.org

At the login screen you will use your full amug email address, e.g. iamamug@amug.org and the password for your amug email account. We are continuing to investigate why devices and regular mail clients are not connecting.

Domain Email Users

For domain owners use https://webmail.yourdomainname.com to access your email via webmail. At the login screen use your full email address and the password associated with that account.

UPDATE 5/11/26, 4:15 AM, MST

All of the backups for the sites have been transferred to the new machine. We are currently "expanding" the backups onto the new server. Unless our team of software engineers tells me otherwise, I expect to be able to push the DNS (meaning the system on the Internet that knows how and where to find every website and email address) updates as the day progresses. There will be some issues and email will most likely be sporadic. I already know that Wordpress sites will require some individual, hands on attention. We will process those as fast as we can so we can get your sites back up and visible on the Internet for you.

There will be gaps, possibly spanning multiple days in your email that cannot be rectified or recovered. Because the old server was on and off frequently over the last several days, some mail will have bounced and not returned.

Your mail clients (Mac Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.) should be happier with this new server and you should see few to none SSL Certificate and Security warning. For the most part, we expect account passwords to have transferred intact so we should not have to spend days changing, resetting (and us mistyping) your mail passwords.

More as the daylight comes on...

UPDATE - 5/8/26

The new server is prepped and secured. We expect to begin moving and restoring all the affected domains on the old server yet today. The  process time for each domain will vary due to amount of content and email and necessary configurations for each. Watch this space for updates

5/6/26

We are currently investigating an outage on one of our hosting servers (5/6/26). Also we are doing a deep security scan. Some services, such as email, webmail, and websites may be intermittently unavailable and/or slow today while the investigation and scan continue. Additionally, most calls will be routed directly to voicemail today while we work on the server. Please leave us a message so we can follow up with you. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
